sound healing to support pregnancy

Sound is the first sense to develop. At about 18 weeks development, a growing fetus can start to hear sounds, and from 22-25 weeks, the fetus will start to hear low-frequency sounds from outside of the womb.

Our new series, Sound Healing to Support Pregnancy, can calm anxiety, help reduce pain, promotes a positive outlook, and harmonizes the Water Element. It can help reduce fear and apprehension in preparation for labor and parenthood, as well as calm infants and new parents through the sounds played during the session as well as sound healing techniques you’ll learn for at-home care.

Using a variety of instruments including bells, cello, chimes, ocean drum, Gong, Japanese Rin Gongs, singing bowls and more, Dr. Mary Claire Dilks, DACM leads this 45 minute meditative sound journey, starting with a brief meditation and QI Gong exercise to strengthen the Water Element.

Best in a series of 3 – one in the 2nd Trimester, 3rd Trimester, and 4th Trimester– even 1-2 sessions can help calm and support those who are pregnant, developing (and newborn) babies, and partners.

All are welcome (including partners and newborn babies), but sound healing is not appropriate for those in the 1st trimester. Participants in this group treatment sit in supportive zero gravity chairs for optimal relaxation.

Limited to 6 participants! Our first session is Sunday, October 22 at 10am. Join us and reserve your space here!
